The Rotary International Long-Term Youth Exchange Program is open to young men and women between the ages of 15 and 18. The exchange runs an academic year, during which the student is sponsored by a local Rotary Club, lives with host families, and attends school in one of approximately 70 host countries. This program aims to promote peace and inter-country understanding, while providing a challenging and enriching experience for selected student participants. The exchange experience offers you: a new culture; a new language; new international friends; personal growth and maturity; the opportunity to teach others about your country; a broader view of the world; and, the BEST year of your life!!

Rotary District 7430 currently exchanges with: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Brazil, British Isles, Canada, Chile, Columbia, Costa Rica, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark,Dominician Republic, Ecuador, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Macedonia, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway,Philippines, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovakia, South Africa, Spain, Peru, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, and Venezuela.

The Rotary International Short Term Youth Exchange Program provides high school students, between the ages of 15 an 18, the opportunity to enjoy the experience of a lifetime. The student will travel to a foreign country to be hosted by a foreign "brother or sister" and then turn around and be the host at their home here in the United States as well. This cultural exchange provides a rich cultural, linguistic, and interpersonal experience for each participating student. Just as in the long term exchange program, this program aids to promote peace and inter-country understanding, while providing a challenging and enriching opportunity for selected participants. The exchange experience offers the student: a new culture, a new language, new international friends, personal growth and maturity, an opportunity to teach others about your culture and country, a broader view of the world, and the most exciting summer experience of your life.
