2/4/09 from Sander in Doylestown
So, I'm Sander K, I'm from Belgium, and so far I'm really liking my exchange year. Stuff is going better and better and I guess itll keep on going better until you'll have to leave, which won't be easy. I didn't enroll in any sports for the winter, so my wintershedule is kind off boring and Im spending way too much time at home writing stuff like this. The reason I couldn't do it was because I dislocated my kneecap like few month ago. Be sure to take the insurance in the country you're going too. Nontheless, past week was great, I went to a Rotarymeeting, best food ever, went to the gym, getting chizzled and Saturday I went to a Temple University basketball game. The good thing about Rotary is that Rotarians care, I went to the game with my Rotary Chairman Dhr. Stone, who had some tickets for me and anyone who wanted to come. After that I chilled out and watched my tennis on Sundaymorning 3:30. Then it was time for the Superbowlparty, really great, with my old hostfamily, even though you don't live with them anymore, it's really hard to forget or part from them, I'll probably go run a marathon with them in 2010 in Edinburgh, Schotland, and I'm already really looking forward to that. Furthermore, I dont got anything planned for the next weeks, but the days will get filled, as usual, people just want to go out with you, and on Saturday, Im throwing a sleepover party with all the inbounds, which should be really good.
So that's it for now. Ciao

I only arrived here last week, but so far it has been absolutely amazing. My host family is wonderful, I am very happy. I have done all sorts of activities- skiing, bowling, movies, etc. We have been to Cornell University in Ithaca to visit my host-brother and -sister. My school is huge but beautiful. It is double the size of my old school. The other exchange students are divine, I love them! I am so happy that I have finally met everyone! Thank you!!!

Hey, If you don't know it, then I can tell that America rocks! It's the best, and I don't miss Denmark at all. The High School, is perfect for me, it's a small High School in the US, (but I think it's BIG!) (: I've a lot of fun with my Field Hockey team, we have dinners, games and practice tougeter. I've already got a lot of new friends, and most of my weekends goes with spending time with them(: I've been around to see a lot of things, doing my one and a hafe mounth here. I've been to the oldest zoo in America, I've been on sightseen in Philadelphia (where I saw the Liberty bell, went to the ............. , and a lot of other things, I've went to the movies with my new freinds, I've went to a School Football game and I've been to a local carnival ((: -I really excited about the Homecomming dance at my High School 10th October, and I'm going shopping this weekend for dress and accessories(: And I'm really excited about Holloween, because it's a very big deal here, so I think I have to dress scary that day(: I've been to Rotary meetings, and been on the first Rotary weekend with all the inbounds exchange student from our district 7430! It was a really great weekend, and one of the best in my life, and I can't wait for our next one, witch is in a week. And at the weekend I've played Softball for the first time in my life. People are so nice here, and they really mean "Welcome to America" when they say it. America is a lot differnt from my home country Denmark, and that's one of the things I really like about it here. The traffic, the food, the High School, the sports, every thing is differnt, and that's a really great expirence. I'm really happy for been a Rotary Exchange sudent((: From a really excited Exchange student. Michele
